    This is a vintage fetish blackbird figure by Lu Heater.  It was handmade out of wood in 2001 in New Mexico.  Look her up at WeemsGallery.com under "Artists" and see her other wood work and jewelry.  She's very talented.  It measures approximately 5-1/2" tall.
