About my eBay Store, H&H Treasures
Thank you for checking out my eBay Store and this listing. Many of my books in my eBay Store, H&H Treasures, are unique, vintage, antique and rare with several being signed by the author and are first edition. I offer the lowest prices I can without taking a loss myself plus enough leftover for charity, because proceeds from every purchase benefit the Animal Humane Society of New Mexico.
Unlike other online stores, and other eBay Booksellers, I take extra time in each of my listings to give you, the valued and respected customer, with as much detail as possible with long descriptions, lots of detailed images and if you have any questions, you can reach out to me as I reply to all messages.
I do accept offers. I never refuse any reasonable offers. That being said, keep in mind that your purchase will go to help homeless animals in need of a forever home as well as food and veterinary care, so the closer your offer is to my asking price, the more aid will go towards deserving pets in need of a loving, fur-ever home.
All books are packaged and shipped with extra care with bubble-wrapped covering and/or padding whenever necessary. I do have some items which are not books, but are also vintage, antique and rare. Some of those items include antique signs and plaques, shoes, boots and hats. Click on the different store categories for more information.
Thank you for your interest in my eBay Store and it's listings.

    About the Native American Headdress
Thank you for your interest in this very unique and rare Native American Headdress. Headdresses were worn by those in the tribe who were admired or greatly respected and/or by very influential members of their tribe such as a Chief or Warrior. They are sometimes worn in battle.  They are also often worn at special events, such as Traditional Weddings, Pow Wows, etc. They can be worn by women or men. The only difference is men would wear the War Bonnet style and the Women would wear the Beaded Head Style.
One big rule amongst indigenous people (Native Americans) is you should never wear one unless you have
    earned
it.  It is considered very disrespectful to wear a headdress if you have not earned it. The Headdress is a symbol of bravery and strength and only those who have achieved something of great significance and earned the right to wear a headdress should be seen wearing one. It is considered offensive to the validity and meaning of the headdress to wear it if you have not earned it.
It is often a tradition that one must fast and not eat for a certain amount of time before wearing the Headdress.
There are many different styles and designs and are from different regions, territories and tribes. This particular headdress is not meant to be worn (nor should you as explained above) but to be hung on a wall. It is believed that the Sioux were the first tribes to wear headdresses.
It is unknown if this is a reproduction (I suspect it is) or an original. I do not know the origin of this headdress nor do I have much ownership history available.
Be sure to view all photographs available of the headdress and if you have any questions, please send me a message. I reply to all messages.
