PAIR 12" 583903 1D3093 Field Coil SPEAKERS-Magnavox CR216 Tube Receiver- RECONE?
For sale is a pair of 12" full-range, field-coil speakers, removed from 1950/1951 Magnavox Radio/Phonograph consoles.  Both were powered by CR-216 tube-based receivers that had 6V6 output tubes.  They were tested before removing from consoles and worked/sounded fine !  But after 72 years, the super thin paper cones, with continuous accordian surrounds, have become brittle and developed several tears, cracks etc. as should be expected.  They don't show in the pics, but the splits, cracks etc are in all areas of the paper cones. To restore these for everyday use, buyer will need to have both speakers RECONED (not "refoamed") !  DO NOT BUY unless you understand these will need repair, and either have the skills to recone these, or have access to a speaker tech who can do the work.  Both have their original cloth-insulated cables and plugs for connecting to CR-216 or other compatible receivers.  I had hoped to restore the CR-216 receivers, the old WebCor record changers and these speakers but I just don't have the time & energy.  Hopefully someone can make good use of these for their projects !
If needed, I can include the 8 installation nuts that secured/attached speakers to the screw/bolt posts of the console cabinets.  HOWEVER, buyer must message me BEFORE making payment, asking that nuts be included... otherwise they will NOT be included !  If buyer does not ask for the nuts, then do NOT expect them or complain about not receiving them !
