    Description

When people think of primitive arrowheads, they think of obsidian and flint, but agates were also used frequently. Obsidian is the easiest to work, but it is not readily available in much of eastern North America. Flint is a little more difficult to work, sometimes it had to be buried so a fire could be lit over it. This type of heat treating alters the molecular structure making it easier to work and as a side benefit, it also will bring out colors in the stone. Agates are visually striking, but are also very hard. I have gone through my points and carefully selected sets of three, with one of each type of stone. These are all high quality points and top shelf stones.
2.01 inch Colorado banded flint arrowhead, 1.73 inch Utah agate arrowhead and 1.56 inch obsidian atlatl point.
These are modern works of historical art, not ancient artifacts.
